Please join us for our first luncheon of the year at noon on Wednesday, January 25th at St. Mary’s University School of Law as we welcome Justice Patricia O. Alvarez. She was elected to Place 3 on the Fourth Court of Appeals in 2012. Justice Alvarez is from Laredo, Texas and she was in private practice for 25 years before joining the court. Justice Alvarez primarily practiced in state and federal courts in South Texas, handling complex civil trial matters.
Justice Alvarez will provide her thoughts and reflections on leadership in the law. She will discuss her personal experience and address concerns of lawyers who aspire to, or who may one day will be asked to, take on the responsibility of becoming a judge. Judge Alvarez will also share an update on the Fourth Court of Appeals, including legal trends in the court’s recent cases.

Cost: $25 for members, $30 for non-members, payable at the door
