2022 BCWB Holiday Luncheon

Please join Bexar County Women's Bar for the 2022 Holiday Luncheon on December 9, 2022 at Fleming's starting at 11:30 a.m.

We will be presenting a donation to our 2022 Autumn Affair Beneficiary, San Antonio Youth Literacy. Additionally we will be collecting donations of children’s books for the SAISD Foundation, a close partner to San Antonio Youth Literacy.

Book Buddies is a program of the SAISD Foundation, under the expand student experiences priority, that provides tens of thousands of free children’s books to students in San Antonio ISD schools. The pivotal goal of our program is to help children grow their own home libraries enabling them to be strong and proud readers. Through Book Buddies, volunteers sort through books by grade level, assess the condition of the books, clean them, and place them into boxes to be distributed to students. Our goal is to deliver four books per student at every elementary campus and academy every other year. Book Buddies works with book resellers and accepts books donated from company-sponsored or community-wide drives to collect children’s books throughout San Antonio and the surrounding area.
